Bring the markup
Paste HTML source or load a local text file. Markup is parsed in an inert template; scripts are not run.
Accessibility & design / Made for the task at hand
Inspect pasted HTML for missing, empty or filename-like alt text. Export an image inventory to guide manual accessibility review without crawling your site.
Add your source, or try the example, then choose “Inspect this HTML”.

A practical little workflow
Paste HTML source or load a local text file. Markup is parsed in an inert template; scripts are not run.
Find missing attributes, empty alternatives and likely filenames across img, image-input and area elements.
Decide which images are decorative and whether useful alternatives convey the image’s purpose in context.
Before you get started
Built for a focused job.
Review important results before use.
No. Empty alt is often correct for decorative images. Context and purpose matter; this tool flags cases for review rather than certifying pass or fail.
No. It cannot understand the image or its surrounding purpose. Present text still needs human review, especially for linked images and complex charts.
It only inspects pasted source for img, area and image-input elements. It does not render JavaScript, crawl pages or assess CSS background images, SVG or full WCAG compliance.
Working text and local files are processed in this browser tab and are not sent to a server or an AI service. Reloading clears this workspace. Optional analytics and feedback have separate privacy controls; see Privacy below.
